My Father Wrote - An Ex-Buck's Dream of Heaven

Change the ranks and it could also be the dream of an ex-sailor. It speaks of the just deserts of those who once held the power over the soldier's military life and his ultimate reward. But the last line reveals the need to belong to the unit, a habit difficult to break.

*My Father Wrote ...* An Ex-Buck's Dream of Heaven by Alden J. Copeland Shortly after my introduction to my younger brother and sisters, the Copeland family, in the fall of 2006, my sister Marilyn Copeland sent a copy of "The Return". It was a poem written by our Father. At Christmas of 2007 Marylyn assembled a book of his compositions adding graphics as shown here. .
