Clara Florence Packard

 Born June 22, 1882 in Cleveland, Ohio

Clara was the third child of seven of Henry Shepard Packard and Amanda M Milns. Amanda had been born in England in 1857. It is generally believed that all the Packards in America originated with Samuel Packard (1612-1684) who arrived in Plymouth Colony via the ship Diligent in 1638. It is also possible that the family line extends to Francis Cooke, a Mayflower passenger. However, although we know of Clara's grandfather, Shepard Packard, born in Massachusetts in 1818, we have not been able to document his parents or grandparents.

On 25 June, 1903, Clara married Richard Fredrick Lossner. Their children were:

Richard Wilber Henry, born June 11, 1905
Kenneth Edward, born February 7, 1909
Chester Adelbert, born August 18,1914

The family thrived in Cleveland where Richard was a shoe salesman and then manager of a shoe store. Clara passed to Eternal Life on October 10, 1957
