I discovered that our Clark (Clarke) ancestors can be traced to Sir Kenneth De Clerk born in 1009 at Northumbria, England.
In addition, our Nash ancestors can be traced to Robert Franklin Nash born in 1424 in England.
I also discovered a family relationship with Abraham Clark who was an American politician and Revolutionary War figure. He was delegate for New Jersey to the Continental Congress where he signed the Declaration of Independence and later served in the United States House of Representatives in both the Second and Third United States Congress, from March 4, 1791, until his death in 1794. See Relationship Chart.
Of course all this research was prompted by the fact that my recently found DNA cousin L.S. (administered by TCreature3) and I have a DNA match to the Clark clan. Our nearest common ancestor is seen at this Relationship chart. Deacon George Clark is an ancestor of L.S.
Sir Lt William Clark (1610-1790) was married to Sarah Strong in England. In 1634 they immigrated to Massachusetts on the ship Mary and John where they were the parents of 12 children. Bet. 1675–1677 William served as a Lt. in the Northampton Company, Hampshire Regiment at Connecticut Valley, Massachusetts in King Philip's War. He and Sarah were my 9th great grandparents.

Daughter of John & Mary was Experience Clark born 30 Oct 1689 at Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts. She married Deacon Daniel Nash, born in 1676 at Hadley, Hampshire, Massachusetts. They were the parents of 11 children and were my 7th great grandparents. Daniel died 10 Mar 1760 at Great Barrington, Berkshire, Massachusetts and she in 1775.
The fourth child of Deacon Daniel & Experience was Daniel Nash born 13 Sep 1715 at Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts. On 11 Nov 1741 he was married to Abigail Stebbins who was born 11 Mar 1723 at Deerfield, Franklin, Massachusetts. They were the parents of 3 children and were my 6th great grandparents. The first child of Daniel & Abigail was Daniel, born 04 Nov 1742 at Deerfield, Franklin, Massachusetts. He was married to Anne Atherton who was born in 1744. The two were my 5th great grandparents and the parents of 5 children. He died 22 Feb 1819 at Deerfield, Franklin, Massachusetts and she, at the same place, 07 Jun 1804.
Abigail Nash, the second child of Daniel and Abigail, was born 04 Nov 1742 at Deerfield, Franklin, Massachusetts. She married William Hunt. For a continuation of the Hunt line of ancestors see The Hunt Family Line.
