The first of the Packards arrived in the Plymouth area shortly after the Mayflower. The family thrived and some branches were united in marriage to the John Alden family, the Francis Cook family and possibly others of Mayflower fame. Since our lineage back from Shepard Packard, born in 1818 in Easton, Ma has not been established, any claim to a Mayflower connection is deemed to be possible, but speculative.
