We are all using it but do we know how it works? It usually falls under "Blind Faith" or "I don't understand everything I know about this".

One of the newsletters that I receive pointed me to a web site that does a  great job in explaining how it works with informative diagrams. The site is about service being denied, but it starts with the explanation of the way it works.
