The World of Grandpa DonVirus Software Bargains I have been flooded with offers to sell virus protection software at bargain prices. They come as often as three or four a day. When they come that often, you know that it is not being sent by a legitimate software producer. They also do not originate from the software producer. As important that it is to have virus protection, do not get taken in by these "too good to be true" offers. Some may be selling pirated versions of the products. You say you don't care? Well, one of the reasons to use virus protection is to have regular updates on virus "signatures" and without them, your investment, however small, is worthless. Other offers are from people who will take your money and give you an outdated version or nothing at all. Again, even if you do get something, there are no updates or support. Even worse, your credit card information may be shopped around by these crooks.
