Stewardship Prayer

Lord,
Everything we have comes from you.
We thank you and praise you for blessing us
in so many ways.
We know that you love each of us and will not abandon us;
instead you will provide for us as we provide for others.
We pray for guidance from your Holy Spirit
as we search our hearts for the best way to share
the many gifts you have bestowed on us.
Show us how to be loving stewards of your gifts,
so that we may build your kingdom:
here in our parish,
our community
and on earth.
Amen.

As part of St. Julie's Stewardship Campaign, this prayer was written by two parishioners who volunteered to be "Prayer Directors". I think that this prayer extends well beyond our parish and that it defines our purpose in life.
