The Bible ...

I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
I do not believe that inspired means dictated by God to a human word processor.

The Bible does not need to be factual to convey the Truth of God's revelation. The stories in the Bible were believable to the people at the time of the writing. They had to be ... so that the Truth of the story would be accepted by the people. 

As a Christian, I have no trouble accepting the parables of Jesus as 'stories' used to convey a Truth. I have no trouble in accepting the stories of the rest of the Bible in the same way.

 

My Beliefs

These are presented in no particular order but are listed as they come to mind. They are mine and I do not intend to impose them on anyone else. If you come to accept them, I am happy to share them. These beliefs have been accumulated during my entire life but mostly during the most recent years. They come out of personal experience, and the teaching and influence of others.
