With Daniel Homan, OSB, I am the author of several Catholic books. Our latest is Radical Hospitality: Benedict's Way of love that deals with relationships after 9/11 and Benedictine hospitality. I'm at work on another book. It's working title is It's My Church and I'll Stay if I Want to.
I begin with the flagrant admission that I am writing to ask for something that will take you a few minutes. I am in the middle of a book project that addresses the issue of why Catholics remain Catholic during this crisis, or why do Catholics leave? If you have a few minutes, please consider this question. Why are you remaining a Catholic in times like these, or, why have you left Catholicism? Any response from a few sentences to several pages would be appreciated.
If you know of people who might be willing to answer the question, please forward this email to them. You may have access, because of your involvement with VOF*, that others would not. I think the book articulates what many in the lay movement think and feel. Time, to say the least, is getting away from this writer, so please do respond quickly, if you are able. If you have any questions about the legitimacy of my work, please look up my name on Amazon.com.
Thank you,
Lonni Collins Pratt
*Note:
I am not, and have never been, involved with VOF (Voice Of the Faithful)

I have written things from time to time and love doing it. While working, it was confined to instructions and procedures. Now I can be a little more creative. |
